Dr_Terry_Morris_2009.06.19Terry Morris has served as the national spokesperson for the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) for a number of years. He has participated in several national CFC videos (1990-91, 1998- 99, 1999-2000, and 2003-2004) as well as public service announcements supporting philanthropy, community service and child advocacy. He has also been instrumental in severalinternational campaigns supporting philanthropy in over 170 countries.

Some of his nationals peaking engagements have included the White House, the Pentagon, the Federal Reserve, FBI,CIA, National Security Agency, NASA, OPM, the Smithsonian, the Nuclear Regulatory Agency,Selective Service, the National Institutes of Health, as well as the Departments of Justice, Agriculture, Interior, State, Treasury, and Transportation. He is currently the Software Integrated Hazard Analysis Manager on NASA’s Constellation Program responsible for mitigating hazardous behavior from ground equipment, launch assets, space vehicles, astronaut suits and their various interactions whether on the Earth, the Moon, Mars or in space. Hazards, from this perspective,incorporate all conditions that lead to loss of crew (LOC), loss of vehicle (LOV) and loss ofmission (LOM) which also includes hazards that impact the International Space Station, thepublic, and International Partners.

Dr. Morris holds a B.S. in electrical engineering at Mississippi State University, an M.S. in electrical engineering at Old Dominion University, a George M. LowFellowship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D. in system engineering atthe University of Virginia. He is currently pursuing a Certificate in Public Leadership at theBrookings Institute. He is a Lifetime Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics andAstronautics (AIAA) and serves as deputy director of the Information Systems Group. He serveson a number of boards and councils. Terry currently resides in Newport News, Virginia.
