In January 2010, Linnie Haynesworth was appointed to the position of vice president and NPOESS deputy program director for Northrop Grumman. In this key role, Linnie will be responsible for focusing on execution of this critical, dynamic $5+B program with particular emphasis on ensuring constant, effective communication with customer and internal executive leadership as it relates to program performance, risk management, cost and schedule milestones and other key deliverables.
Linnie has over thirty years of engineering, business development and program management experience in Space and Ground Systems. Her experience covers a broad set of activities which include leadership positions in: software development, system engineering, program management, business development, hardware development, technical subcontract management and functional management. She has experience with government, commercial and international partnerships, and customer relationship management. Her prior assignments include Program Manager of the Battlefield Combat Identification System and the Director of the 1200 person Engineering Centers within the Systems Development Operations of the Command, Control and Intelligence Division at NGIS (prior NGMS).
Linnie graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Her continuing education in program management has included the African-American Leadership Program at the UCLA Anderson School of Business and the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. Dr. Wanda M. Austin is president and chief executive officer of The Aerospace Corporation, a leading architect for the nation’s national security space programs. The Aerospace Corporation has nearly 4,000 employees and annual revenues of more than $850 million. She assumed this position on January 1, 2008.
Austin previously was senior vice president of the company’s National Systems Group, which supports the national security space and intelligence community in the acquisition, launch and orbital operation of advanced technology space systems and their ground data stations. She was senior vice president of Special Studies from January 1 to April 1, 2004, and from June 2001 through December 2003 was senior vice president of the Engineering and Technology Group, directing a staff of 1,000 engineers and scientists working in a wide range of space-related disciplines.

Dr. Julian M. Earls is Executive in Residence at the Nance College of Business Administration at Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio. Also, he served as Co-Chair of the Science and Mathematics Education Policy Advisory Council (SAMEPAC) for the State of Ohio. The SAMEPAC developed findings and made policy recommendations for improvements in mathematics and science education in Ohio. In January 2006, he retired from the position of Director of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s Glenn Research Center (GRC) in Cleveland. As Director of GRC he managed a budget in excess of $600 million and a workforce of over 3000 employees.

Terry Morris has served as the national spokesperson for the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) for a number of years. He has participated in several national CFC videos (1990-91, 1998- 99, 1999-2000, and 2003-2004) as well as public service announcements supporting philanthropy, community service and child advocacy. He has also been instrumental in severalinternational campaigns supporting philanthropy in over 170 countries.
Some of his nationals peaking engagements have included the White House, the Pentagon, the Federal Reserve, FBI,CIA, National Security Agency, NASA, OPM, the Smithsonian, the Nuclear Regulatory Agency,Selective Service, the National Institutes of Health, as well as the Departments of Justice, Agriculture, Interior, State, Treasury, and Transportation. He is currently the Software Integrated Hazard Analysis Manager on NASA’s Constellation Program responsible for mitigating hazardous behavior from ground equipment, launch assets, space vehicles, astronaut suits and their various interactions whether on the Earth, the Moon, Mars or in space. Hazards, from this perspective,incorporate all conditions that lead to loss of crew (LOC), loss of vehicle (LOV) and loss ofmission (LOM) which also includes hazards that impact the International Space Station, thepublic, and International Partners.
Dr. Morris holds a B.S. in electrical engineering at Mississippi State University, an M.S. in electrical engineering at Old Dominion University, a George M. LowFellowship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D. in system engineering atthe University of Virginia. He is currently pursuing a Certificate in Public Leadership at theBrookings Institute. He is a Lifetime Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics andAstronautics (AIAA) and serves as deputy director of the Information Systems Group. He serveson a number of boards and councils. Terry currently resides in Newport News, Virginia. |
