What: A first of its kind technical conference encompassing plenary sessions, keynote speakers, technical training courses, peer-reviewed technical papers, cultural and technical tours, and industry trade shows

Where: Sheraton Gateway Hotel, Los Angeles, California
Why: To accomplish the following objectives:
- Provide NSBE and non-NSBE practitioners and researchers in industry, academia, and government a common platform to present, discuss and influence aeronautics and astronautics research with the intent to enhance Aerospace Engineering practice and education
- Promote a broad exchange of information on technologies, applications, and developments in Aerospace Engineering
- Provide a networking venue for engineers, researchers, and operations personnel in the Aerospace industry
- Highlight new projects, ongoing and completed research of the National Society of Black Engineers in Aerospace disciplines
- Produce a peer-reviewed Aerospace conference proceedings exploring diverse and innovative developments in Aerospace Engineering and related disciplines
- Establish at least two new Special Interest Groups within the NSBE Aerospace Division (SIG selection and # based on attendee interest)
